" The MS single-layer cement-agglomerated tile" .

The MS single-layer tile is produced with the same raw materials wich make up the sight face layer of a traditional "terrazzo" tile, that is cement, marble powder, marble or granite granulates, without any addition of chemical additives.The MS-technology consists in the mouding of a wet mix under high pressure in an hydraulic press, with evacuation of the water in excess through a draining -filtering system.The MS single layer tile, with is reduced thickness and its excellent compactness and resistance, is in a position to succesfully compete with paving or cladding products, natural or artificial, of higher cost.Quality, low production cost, size standardization are not the only advantages of the MS single-layer tile: in fact the cost of transport and laying are practically halved in comparison with the thicker and heavier double-layer terrazzo tiles.The technological innovation at the baseof the MS single-layer product, wich we also call "cementoceramica" to stress its peculiar characteristic of thickness and compactness, has allowed LONGINOTTI MECCANICA to reaffirm its leadeship in the construction of machines and automatic plants and to propose itself once again as the ideal partner for the specialized industry.The market has shown great interest in this new technology since its introduction and the cement-agglomerated tile industry has truly receiveda haelthy shot in the arm. At the end of 2001 more than 60 plants for the productions of MS single-layer tiles had been sold in Countries all overthe world.
